Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel for its Payroll & Team Management Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
• Provide practical legal advice on product, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and various contracts
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and smooth user experience for the platform

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active state bar membership
• 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with payroll or HR service providers
• Expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
• Experience advising product teams and managing complex customer terms and conditions
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws, particularly related to payroll and wage issues
