New York Licensed Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing legal department, the full-time New York Licensed Deputy General Counsel will advise on healthcare regulations, manage risk, and develop compliance processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Stay current on U.S. and international laws and advise the business on regulatory impacts
• Draft policies and disclosures to support ongoing compliance and manage legal input processes
• Provide strategic legal advice to internal teams on product development and risk mitigation

Required qualifications

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• A minimum of 7 years of healthcare legal experience, either in-house or at a law firm
• Experience in regulatory matters, contracting, and transactions
• Proven ability to advise on regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong legal judgment with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to non-lawyers
