New York Licensed Electric Transmission Engineer

Job Summary

Driving project execution and providing technical leadership, the full-time Electric Transmission Engineer IV will design and deliver complex overhead transmission projects, supporting grid reliability and energy transition goals, while working remotely with occasional on-site responsibilities in Albany, NY or the Hudson Valley region.

Key responsibilities

• Complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for electric overhead transmission projects
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases with engineering disciplines and project management staff
• Monitor project progress to ensure efficient production and adherence to budget and scheduling constraints

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, specifically in transmission engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proficiency in engineering software (Revit, MicroStation, PLS-CADD) and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and engineering laws
