Job Summary

Seeking a New York Licensed Electrical Estimator for a hybrid contract-to-hire position, the successful candidate will prepare cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects, focusing on substations and steam generation facilities, while managing multiple assignments and collaborating with engineering and construction teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual, authorization, and appropriation cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects
• Develop estimates based on preliminary work scopes, drawings, and historical data
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and user organizations to ensure comprehensive project estimates

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of applicable experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years, or a Technical High School Diploma with 15 years of experience
• Experience in power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating, particularly in substations and steam generation facilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, CEES, or similar software
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments
• Commitment to environmental excellence and workplace safety
