Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic New York Licensed Electrical Estimator for a hybrid contract-to-hire position in New York, NY, who will prepare cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects, particularly focusing on substations and steam generation facilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual, authorization, and appropriation cost estimates for construction projects
• Develop estimates based on preliminary work scopes, drawings, and historical data
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and user organizations to ensure comprehensive project estimates

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of applicable work experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a Technical High School Diploma with 15 years of experience
• Experience in power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating, particularly in substations and steam generation facilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, CEES, or similar estimating software
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments
• Commitment to environmental excellence and workplace safety
