New York Licensed Fieldwork Advisor

Job Summary

To support the Early Childhood General Education Program, the part-time Online Supervised Fieldwork Advisor will observe graduate students in the field, conduct online meetings, and facilitate weekly conference groups while providing academic guidance from September 2026 to June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Observe each advisee monthly for approximately 2-3 hours via recorded lessons or live Zoom sessions
• Facilitate online one-on-one meetings and weekly conference groups with advisees during the fall and spring semesters
• Provide academic and certificate guidance in accordance with degree requirements and participate in program and advisor meetings

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in development, psychology, special education, or a related field
• More than five years of teaching experience with children and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Critical orientation to issues of access and equity for students with disabilities
• Experience providing reflective supervision to pre-service or in-service teachers preferred
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and organization
