New York Licensed Finance Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting faculty-led research, the full-time remote New York Licensed Finance Specialist will provide post-award financial administration of sponsored projects, ensuring compliance with financial terms and conditions while serving as an expert resource for the university community.

Key responsibilities:

• Review sponsored projects for compliance with financial terms, federal regulations, and university policies
• Prepare and submit financial reports, invoices, and manage project closeouts
• Advise department personnel on financial management and compliance issues related to their awards

Required qualifications:

• Associate's degree in business or accounting/finance with at least three years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial transaction navigation and reconciliation
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication techniques and a customer service-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in PC systems, including Excel and Word
