Job Summary

Seeking a part-time New York Licensed Group Leader for the Choose Your Own Pace: Hiking the Adirondacks program in North River, NY, who will manage logistics, lead educational activities, and ensure a meaningful experience for participants while hiking up to 10 miles daily on varied terrain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all logistics for the program, including participant orientation and daily briefings
• Accompany participants on scheduled activities, ensuring educational content is delivered effectively
• Anticipate and resolve any program-related issues while maintaining communication with Road Scholar

Required qualifications

• New York Licensed Group Leader Certificate or extensive professional tourism experience
• Proven group leadership experience in educational or travel programs, preferably with individuals 55+
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience strongly preferred
• Ability to hike at least 10 miles on varied terrain and climb significant elevations
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a van for program activities
