Job Summary
To provide compassionate end-of-life care, the part-time New York Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will perform in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pet families across Brooklyn and Elmont, with a self-managed schedule and no non-compete agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-home hospice and euthanasia appointments with a focus on compassionate care
- Manage a self-directed schedule, ensuring availability for weekend appointments on a rotational basis
- Communicate professionally with pet families and team members while working independently in a mobile environment
Required qualifications
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations
- Capability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
- Experience in handling difficult conversations and providing end-of-life care
- Availability to work weekends on a rotational basis
