Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Outpatient and Emergency Department Hospital Coder II.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD and CPT codes for various outpatient and emergency services
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of codes with government and insurance regulations
• Communicate with medical staff to clarify documentation as needed

Required Qualifications

• One or more years of hospital coding experience preferred
• Certification with AHIMA or AAPC is required
• Specialty service credentials preferred where applicable
• Two-year degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage coding edits and bill holds
