New York Licensed Interim General Counsel

Job Summary

Providing parental leave coverage, the full-time New York Licensed Interim General Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor to senior leadership, managing commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and data privacy matters in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on strategic initiatives and day-to-day legal matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and advise on global strategic partnerships
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, data privacy, and corporate governance issues

Required qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree with active admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including roles as General Counsel or senior in-house legal leader
• Significant experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or technology-driven businesses
• Strong commercial contracting experience, particularly with complex transactions
• Working knowledge of international data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA
