New York Licensed Legal Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel to become its first in-house legal leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contracting efforts by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements
• Provide legal guidance to Sales, Product, Operations, and HR teams to support business objectives
• Drive corporate governance and compliance initiatives while developing scalable legal processes

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in the U.S
• 4-7+ years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience
• Strong track record in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in the technology sector
• Ability to handle diverse legal matters independently with excellent judgment
• Experience with technology companies, SaaS businesses, or data privacy matters is a plus
