New York Licensed Liability Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing General Liability and Auto BI claims, the full-time New York Licensed Liability Claims Examiner will adjudicate complex customer claims, negotiate settlements, and communicate with clients while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure and process claims to timely resolution
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and communicate claim activity to claimants and clients
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to requests in a professional manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
• Experience with New York labor law and tender processes
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
• Licensing in New York is preferred
