New York Licensed Material Damage Appraiser

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Material Damage Field Appraiser.

Key Responsibilities

• Review claim estimates and photographs for accuracy and prepare original estimates
• Negotiate with repair facilities for claim-related repair costs and coordinate on-site inspections
• Collaborate with the Claims team to resolve damage-related escalations and conduct virtual repair quality reviews

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of claims experience or comparable shop work experience
• High level of automotive technical proficiency with a willingness to continue training
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively interact with repair shops
• Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable
• Must reside in either Western Long Island, New York or Massachusetts area for frequent on-site inspections
