New York Licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (NY) - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient services using evidence-based medicine as part of the virtual behavioral health team
• Diagnose and assess mental/behavioral health disorders, formulate differential diagnoses, and prescribe medications
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and modify patient treatment plans and document visits in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification from an approved nurse practitioner program
• Minimum three years of psychiatric experience in a clinical setting plus two years of nurse practitioner experience
• Licensed as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority in New York; New Jersey licensure preferred
• Masters of Arts in Psychiatric/Mental Health/Nursing
• Current New York DEA license required
