Job Summary
To support a growing laboratory, the full-time New York Licensed Molecular Oncology Director will manage laboratory test results, oversee quality control and assurance, and collaborate on assay design and optimization, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Sign out laboratory test results for Molecular Oncology tests
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance oversight for tests
- Design and optimize molecular assays in collaboration with R&D
Required qualifications
- PhD and/or MD with ABMGG board certification in Molecular Genetics or active candidate status
- ABP board certification or eligibility in Molecular Genetic Pathology for MD applicants
- Certificate of Qualification or eligibility for NYS for Oncology - Molecular and cellular tumor markers
- Hands-on experience with real-time PCR, next-generation sequencing, and laboratory automation
- Experience working in a high complexity CLIA/CAP environment
