Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the New York Licensed Oncology Nurse Navigator will provide triage, support, and education to members throughout their cancer journey, conducting clinical assessments and managing care coordination from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and manage member health while facilitating end-of-life care discussions
- Engage actively with members to address clinical issues and manage escalations, ensuring a high-quality member experience
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and support members throughout the oncology care continuum, from screening to survivorship or end-of-life care
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact and single state licensure in New York and/or Illinois preferred
- Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) required; BSN preferred
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in solid tumor oncology nursing
- Oncology-related certifications such as OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, or CCM required or to be obtained within 2 years of hire
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and verbal, is preferred
