Job Summary
To support the Student and Trainee Mental Health Program, a full-time New York Licensed Outpatient Psychologist will provide psychiatric evaluations and psychological treatment for medical students and trainees, utilizing a combination of on-site and remote tele-health services with late hours on at least two days of the week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial intake assessments and provide time-limited psychological treatment, including individual and group psychotherapy
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers
- Engage in psycho-education and outreach initiatives for the student and trainee community
Required qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
- Current New York State Psychology license
- Expertise in providing CBT or other evidence-based therapies
- Experience working with specialized populations, including those with substance use issues and trauma histories
- Familiarity with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, with bilingual/multilingual applicants encouraged to apply
