Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Assistant - Chemical Dependency.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and interpret detailed patient histories and physical data to determine necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Interact with patients seeking admission to treatment, providing empathy, education, and counseling
• Prescribe medication and write orders to stabilize patients during intake

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• BS in Physician Assistant is required
• At least one year of experience preferred in chemical dependency, primary care, or hospital medicine
• PA-C certification from the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required
• Registered Physician Assistant (RPA) certification from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) is required
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision
