Job Summary
To provide compassionate care for palliative patients, the per diem New York Licensed Physician Assistant will deliver remote patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote care to palliative care patients through video visits, addressing triage needs and urgent concerns
- Communicate empathetically with patients and families, offering education and support related to their care
- Collaborate with the palliative care team to assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate care recommendations
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Physician Assistant in palliative care, hospice, or a relevant field
- BS in Physician Assistant studies
- Registered Physician Assistant (RPA) certification from the New York State Education Department
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Ability to work in stressful environments and demonstrate critical thinking skills
