Job Summary

A company is looking for a Plans Examiner to support municipal clients in the Pelham, NY area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed plan reviews for compliance with the New York State Building Code and local regulations
• Evaluate plans for consistency with zoning requirements and provide clear code interpretations
• Coordinate with design professionals and municipal officials while maintaining organized documentation

Required Qualifications

• New York State Department of State Code Enforcement Certification (required)
• ICC Plans Examiner Certification (Building preferred; additional certifications a plus)
• Demonstrated experience in municipal or third-party plan review
• Strong working knowledge of New York State code amendments and local regulations
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents
