New York Licensed Project Specialist

Job Summary

To support a construction management team, the full-time Project Processing Specialist will review construction documents for compliance with building codes and Port Authority standards, coordinating project processing and acting as a liaison with various city agencies, with the role being onsite and/or remote as directed.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction documents, calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards
• Coordinate review comments from technical disciplines and prepare memoranda for transmitting comments to line departments
• Develop project scope of work and structural design for various structural types, ensuring compliance with applicable standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in architecture or construction engineering
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineer's license in New York and/or New Jersey is preferable
• At least 5 years of experience with building codes and systems in a construction setting
• Understanding of architectural/engineering disciplines related to building design and construction
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn various in-house and external software
