Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of accounts, the full-time New York Licensed Property Underwriter will underwrite new and renewal business while assessing risks and determining coverage terms and premiums in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrites new and renewal property and casualty business, analyzing policy forms and broker endorsement requests
- Evaluates risks to determine acceptance, modification, or decline of coverage based on various factors
- Maintains broker relationships and collaborates across teams to ensure timely and quality service to clients
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting
- Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is a plus
