New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the full-time New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced psychiatric nursing care, conduct comprehensive evaluations, and manage medication for patients with serious mental illness and substance use disorders, working in a hybrid model of 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced psychiatric nursing care as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and monitor therapeutic responses

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Currently licensed in New York State as an Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Active DEA Number in New York State
• Experience working with children and adults, particularly those with serious mental illness
• Currently enrolled in NY Medicaid and Medicare
