New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, provide high-quality psychiatric care via telehealth, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to enhance patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic interviews to assess patient needs and determine appropriate medication management
• Provide high-quality short and long-term psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan via telehealth
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care

Required qualifications

• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP-BC) and unrestricted license in the State of New York
• Active DEA registration in the State of New York
• 3+ years of experience prescribing psychiatric medications as a PMHNP-BC
• Direct clinical experience treating patients across the lifespan, including children ages 5+ preferred
• Experience providing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management via telehealth preferred
