New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support the expansion of behavioral health services, the part-time contract New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide telehealth psychiatric care, conduct evaluations, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while dedicating a minimum of 8 hours per week, with potential for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for neurology patients
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects
• Collaborate with neurologists and care coaches to deliver integrated, whole-patient care

Required qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PMHNP licensure in New York state; multi-state licensure preferred
• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC or ARNP with psychiatric specialty
• Active DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP, with prior telehealth experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience treating patients with psychiatric co-morbidities alongside chronic conditions
