New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Seeking a New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a full-time remote position, this role focuses on providing comprehensive behavioral health support for adolescents and adults, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, and collaborating with a virtual behavioral health team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess mental/behavioral health disorders for pediatric and adolescent patients, formulating differential diagnoses
• Prescribe medications and provide medication management and counseling as part of patient treatment plans
• Collaborate with therapists and medical leadership to discuss and modify patient treatment plans based on clinical assessments

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or related field
• Active New York Advanced Practice Nurse license with prescriptive authority and DEA license
• Minimum three years of psychiatric experience in a clinical setting and two years as a nurse practitioner
• Experience working specifically with children and adolescents
• Familiarity with electronic health records
