New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, the successful candidate will provide psychiatric care, including evaluations and consultations for general psychiatry and substance use disorders, either in-person at New York facilities or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent consultations
• Consult with non-prescribing mental health staff and medical staff regarding diagnosis and treatment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the creation and review of individual treatment plans

Required qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• 3+ years' experience working with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis/co-occurring conditions
• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York
• Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Current DEA number
