New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time salaried New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and conduct individual psychotherapy
• Prescribe psychotropic medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients and families about treatment options
• Document medical histories, treatment plans, and compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care in the electronic health record (EHR)

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health, including working with adults and across the lifespan
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning
• Experience with EHRs and compliance with HIPAA regulations
