New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time New York Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and provide individual psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) while adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license
• Experience in addiction and mental health treatment
• Ability to work with patients ages 13 and older, including those with severe mental illness
• Experience with EHRs and compliance with HIPAA regulations
