Job Summary

To support the Virtual Express Care - Behavioral Health team, a full-time remote New York Licensed Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care through virtual visits, focusing on psychiatric assessments, treatment of mental health conditions, and crisis intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care via audio-visual and audio-only mediums for urgent behavioral health needs
• Assess and treat mental health conditions and substance use disorders, including medication management and crisis intervention
• Document patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and participate in quality improvement projects

Required qualifications

• Completion of 3,600 hours of qualifying Psychiatry NP practice as required by NYS law
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification
• Current New York State licensure as a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner
• Current New York License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• National Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) via the ANCC or equivalent
