Job Summary
Leading the legal work for a commercial lease portfolio, the full-time remote New York Licensed Real Estate Attorney will manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of leases while collaborating with company leadership and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial leases, subleases, and related agreements
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on negotiations, key decisions, and risks
- Oversee critical lease dates and obligations, ensuring compliance and risk management
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
- 3-5 years of legal experience in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to identify practical solutions
- Experience managing multiple active matters in a remote environment
- Familiarity with lease-management and contract-management tools is a plus
