New York Licensed RN Triage Nurse

Job Summary

To support patient care through effective triage, the part-time Remote Triage Nurse will utilize nursing processes to diagnose and manage patient needs, working varied hours on weekdays and weekends while holding a New York State RN license.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging calls and submitting medication prior authorization requests
• Reviewing and updating medication lists in the electronic medical record (EMR) for provider review
• Educating patients on medications, testing procedures, and home care techniques

Required qualifications

• Current unencumbered New York State RN license
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support certification
• At least 6 months of previous RN experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
