Job Summary

Leveraging advanced safety analysis skills, the part-time remote Safety Engineer will conduct engineering analyses, prepare safety documentation, and evaluate safety implications to ensure compliance with industry standards, with the potential for a permanent position in Syracuse, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed engineering and technical analyses to identify and mitigate system safety risks
• Prepare comprehensive safety documentation and investigative reports for stakeholders
• Evaluate problem reports for potential safety implications, ensuring proactive risk management

Required qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Safety Engineer or in a related engineering discipline
• Proficiency in SSHAR, SAR, HTS, and FHA analysis per MIL-STD-882E
• Strong technical writing skills for documentation and reporting
• U.S. work authorization is required
