New York Licensed Science Teacher

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Upper School Science Teacher with a focus on Biology and Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a community that encourages scientific learning and inquiry among students
• Design and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that are student-centered
• Establish classroom rules and create a supportive environment for student questions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field required
• Master's Degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field recommended
• At least three years of prior teaching experience in a high school setting
• Experience teaching Biology and Chemistry to high school students
• Experience with inquiry-based learning and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is highly preferred
