Job Summary
To support the evaluation of teacher candidates, the part-time New York Licensed Scoring Associate will evaluate test responses, engage in scoring discussions, and address bias in scoring while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities
- Recognize and discuss various types of bias and implement strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
Required qualifications
- A current teaching certification in the subject area or relevant educational experience within the last three years
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain a confidential work environment
- Eligible to work in the United States
