New York Licensed Scoring Associate

Job Summary

To support the evaluation of teacher candidates, the part-time New York Licensed Scoring Associate will evaluate test responses, participate in consensus scoring activities, and engage in discussions about bias while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from Illinois and New York teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities with other scorers
• Recognize and discuss various types of bias and implement strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher
• A current teaching certification in the relevant language and recent teaching experience
• Native or fluent speaker of the language with a college degree
• Basic computer skills
• Eligible to work in the United States
