New York Licensed Scoring Associate

Job Summary

Evaluating responses from teacher candidates, the part-time New York Licensed Scoring Associate will score test answers in various languages, participate in consensus scoring activities, and recognize biases while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from Illinois and New York teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring discussions with other scorers
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher
• A current teaching certification in the relevant language and recent teaching experience
• Alternatively, a degree in a content-relevant field with recent teaching or advising experience
• Native or fluent speaker of the language with a college degree
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain a confidential work environment
