New York Licensed Senior Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Attorney to litigate cases in the New York City area.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle lawsuits involving premises actions, motor-vehicle accidents, property damage claims, and No-Fault claims
• Prepare pleadings, written discovery, reports, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies without supervision
• Research, draft, file, and argue appellate briefs in reviewing courts on behalf of clients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of legal litigation experience
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and license to practice in New York State
• Knowledge of New York Supreme and Civil courts
• Member in good standing of New York State Bar
• Federal admission in S.D.N.Y and E.D.N.Y is a plus
