New York Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a New York Licensed Senior Counsel in a full-time capacity, who will lead complex insurance defense trials, develop case strategies, and provide client advisement while working in a flexible environment that supports performance over location.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Complex Trials: Represent clients in high-exposure insurance defense cases, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death
• Case Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive case strategies, including risk assessment and trial preparation
• Client Advisement: Provide legal advice and updates to clients, insurance carriers, and adjusters throughout the litigation process

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in New York and eligibility for federal court practice
• 8+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation with a focus on complex trial work
• Demonstrated success as lead trial counsel in high-stakes cases
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, tort law, and trial strategies
