New York Licensed Senior Staff Attorney

Job Summary

Litigating cases primarily in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties, the full-time remote New York Licensed Senior Staff Attorney will handle moderately complex litigation, conduct legal research, and develop defense strategies while working independently from case inception through trial.

Key responsibilities

• Manage moderately complex litigation and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs with minimal supervision
• Conduct extensive legal research and independently develop defense strategies for various clients
• Prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials and hearings, ensuring effective communication with all parties involved

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in New York State
• Minimum of 7 years of insurance defense legal experience
• Member in good standing of the NY Bar Association
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Demonstrated expertise in handling claim cases and litigation
