New York Licensed Solar Project Manager
Job Summary
Providing technical support for the NY-Sun program, the remote Senior Project Manager will manage the safe, code-compliant installation of Client-funded photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems while interacting with contractors, customers, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Review project designs and applications to ensure compliance with New York State Uniform Codes
- Evaluate quality assurance inspection results and assess contractor corrective actions for deficiencies
- Serve as a technical resource for Participating Contractors and Client staff, facilitating effective communication and support
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience in the solar energy or electrical construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of New York State Uniform Codes and related requirements
- Experience with photovoltaic and/or energy storage system design and inspection
- Preferred credentials include New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License or NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification
