New York Licensed Staff Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a U.S. Litigation Staff Attorney.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, supervise, lead, and engage in all aspects of litigation and litigation-related advocacy
• Collaborate with staff in other program departments to leverage litigation efforts
• Represent the organization in external relationships with advocates, pro bono firms, media, and donors

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Law degree and license to practice law in the relevant U.S. state
• Three to ten years of relevant legal experience post-law school
• Prior experience working with marginalized and/or displaced communities is preferred
• Familiarity with the Immigration and Nationality Act and immigration law is a strong plus
• Willingness to apply for the New York bar if relocating to New York
