New York Licensed Staff Scientist

Job Summary

To support a growing environmental practice, the full-time New York Licensed Staff Scientist will investigate, characterize, and design remedial measures for environmental concerns while performing field investigations and ensuring regulatory compliance, with the option to work onsite in Albany, Syracuse, or Rochester, or remotely from Binghamton.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data and prepare reports, specifications, and designs for environmental projects
• Perform field inspections, soil and groundwater sampling, and conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Environmental Sciences
• 2-5 years of experience in Environmental Science or a related technical field
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER annual update required
• Experience with asbestos and contamination is required
• A valid Driver's License is required
