Job Summary
To support the management of workers' compensation claims, the full-time New York Licensed Subrogation Examiner will perform subrogation and recovery tasks remotely, identifying opportunities and collaborating with legal counsel while mentoring team members in best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Identify subrogation opportunities through the review of loss information and FNOL data
- Manage communication with claimants and their legal representatives to perfect liens and submit demands for subrogation
- Collaborate with leadership on litigation strategies and mentor team members on subrogation best practices
Required qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of college with equivalent work experience
- 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation subrogation recovery
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional workers' compensation subrogation handling
- Familiarity with New York Labor Law and New York Scaffold Law
- Experience with construction-related and complex claims
