Job Summary
Examining titles to determine the legal condition of property, the full-time New York Licensed Title Examiner will work remotely to analyze records, resolve documentation issues, and prepare title commitment documentation primarily for residential properties.
Key responsibilities
- Perform title examinations and analyze the chain of title for various title orders
- Abstract and analyze records to verify ownership, legal restrictions, and completeness of documentation
- Prepare initial title commitment documentation and review reports for accuracy
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience
- Experience with New York titles is required; New Jersey experience is a plus
- Familiarity with legal terms and title documentation
- Proficiency in standard MS applications and company operating systems
