Job Summary

Supporting a dynamic Estate Planning & Administration team, the full-time New York Licensed Trusts & Estates Paralegal will manage estate administration tasks, prepare legal documents, and assist attorneys with client communications in an office setting with potential for hybrid work after 90 days.

Key responsibilities:
  • Administer decedents' estates, including preparing probate and Surrogate's Court filings
  • Prepare gift and estate tax returns, and assist with fiduciary accountings and real property deeds
  • Draft standard estate planning documents and facilitate trust administration tasks
Required qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal
  • Familiarity with elder law and Medicaid regulations is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2017 or newer and document management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with e-filing and New York estate administration procedures
