Job Summary

Seeking a full-time National Commercial Underwriting Counsel, the role will manage large volumes of files and time-sensitive materials related to transaction matters while providing underwriting support and guidance for real estate title insurance and settlement services in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle large volumes of transaction files and time-sensitive materials, utilizing experience and judgment to accomplish assignments
• Underwrite the issuance of title insurance and provide guidance on real estate settlement services according to established standards and guidelines
• Offer underwriting support and counsel to company personnel, agents, and clients regarding real estate title insurance commitments and policies

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor and active member of a State Bar
• 10+ years of experience as Commercial Underwriting Counsel
• Knowledge of the title insurance industry, including products, policies, and endorsements
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
