Job Summary
New York Licensed Workers Compensation Claims Representative, responsible for managing and processing workers' compensation claims in New York, ensuring compliance with regulations, and negotiating settlements, with a preference for candidates having at least 2 years of relevant experience, in a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently handle a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution
- Ensure compliance with New York workers' compensation laws and timely filing of reports
- Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority to achieve resolution
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience
- Experience with New York jurisdictional regulations and the State Workers' Compensation Board rules
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or relevant certifications are a plus
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation claims processes and legal requirements in New York
- Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite
