New York PE Licensed Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a New York PE Licensed Senior Structural Engineer to join the Transportation Facilities Group in New York, NY, where the full-time position will focus on leading engineering staff, developing structural designs and specifications, and coordinating with various disciplines on transportation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering staff on various task assignments and oversee project development
• Develop structural design details, drawings, and specifications, including calculations for new designs and rehabilitation work
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and architects in the creation of design contract documents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering; Master's degree preferred
• 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in structural design for transportation projects
• PE Licensed in NY/NJ or capable of obtaining a New York State PE license within one year
• Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and AutoCAD; REVIT knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with state and city building codes and industry standard specifications
